Well? have you noticed any positive changes yet? It’s about at this stage where my students and clients let me know that they are noticing things. Maybe you have become aware of some unnessesary tension, or you notice that you hold your breath sometimes? Perhaps you used your breathing practice once or twice to calm yourself down? Maybe you have just noticed that you are getting better at feeling subtle sensations or that you are getting better at explaining pain to your family and friends.
Remember that pain relief in the moment is NOT a goal of these practices, though sometimes you do get a bit of relief. The goal of the practice is to DO the practice. over time your relief will materialize but for now, trust the process!
This week is all about subtlety; in movement, in breath and also in your awareness of your body. But there is nothing subtle about the benefits of staying consistent with your practice. You can do this Yogi! As always, take some time today to schedule your practices.
