Pain scienc education is emerging as a powerful tool in combatting the chronic pain epidemic. Turns out, learning more about the neuro biology of pain actually helps people like you to get out of pain. When we understand pain, we reduce fear and improve confidence. Learning about the embodied self is a major component of Yoga known as svadyaya or self study. Though listening to lectures about pain may not be your cup of tea, applying this information to yourself and your own experiences is well and truly the heart of Yoga and essential for your healing. Taking this information to heart will amplify the movement, breath and mindfulness work you will be doing in your pain care program.
