Week Four

By the end of this week, you will be one month into your program. How do you feel? Are you checking in with your body more often. Are you finding that you have a bit more control over your tension? 

This month we will be starting to look at the changes that happen in the brain when you have pain that persists. You will also begin to learn how to FEEL pain instead of THINK about pain. This is an important progression in your recovery, so please take some time to reflect on the difference between feeling pain and thinking about it. Discuss this idea with someone close to you to work out your understanding of this concept. 

Make sure to set aside practice time for yourself at least 5 days this week. If you miss a day, not a problem. You have a full 7 days to do all of the practices. If you miss several days, you are cheating yourself out of some beneficial progress. You can’t bank the practices and do 3 in one day. Your brain and body need consistency to learn these important lessons.
