Somatic Lesson: Thoracic Integration

Functional Movement

It’s our final practice. You’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this point. But your pain care journey is just beginning. I want to leave you with some ideas and skills to work with in the days and months to come. There is no right way to move, sit or stand. You don’t hurt because you did something wrong or are delicate. You are strong, stable and infinitely adaptable.

Though we often feel as if the body is our adversary, something to be conquered, it is actually your very best friend. It’s also super smart. Your brain, your nervous systems, your skeleton and yes, even your neck have been evolving for millions of years. They are smarter than you. Listen to your body and you will reap the rewards. This practice requires you to really listen. To honor the inherent stability and mobility within you and to move with joy and freedom.

From here, you will take some time to craft your pain care plan. I’ll see you there 🙂
