Week One

This is a big deal. Really. After working with people in pain for well over a decade I know that you have some apprehension, some skepticisim and some anxiety about this. But that you are also hopeful and excited. I feel the same! You may be asking yourself…

Will I be able to stick with it?

Will it be too much for me?

Can this actually help me?

This is a process that I have guided and coached others through before with great success. The practices within this program are evidence based. But this is also some hard work. You will need to stick with it and have a fair amount of disicpline. As you will see in your educational videos, we are about to address your body, your brain, your nervous systems, your attitudes and feelings and more! I will guide you through every step of the way but you need to show up every day for yourself.

Your course workbook is an important part of your program. Before you move on to the first lesson, take some time to reflect by answering the prompts in the workbook.

You have a practice schedule in your workbook. Please add your practices into your personal calendar for the next 8 weeks as well. You have homework 5 days a week. I give you two days off in case you miss a day. You have no excuse for not catching up! All of the course lessons are available to you now and for as long as you are a member of The Shift School. I recommend that you not jump ahead though. Just follow the program and you will get some relief. One of the most important ingredients in a pain care process is consistency!!
