Pain Education and Movement

Here is where the rubber meets the road. How do we use these things we are learning about pain neurobiology in a practical way. The well known pain researcher, neuroscientist and physical therapist Adrian Louw says that pain education on it’s own is not known to be terribly efficatious at reducing pain. Rather, it’s utility is in empowering people to move more and without fear. Combined, these two strategies are the gold standard for healing. These guidelines will prove invaluable as you progress through your program.
