Week Three Practice: Pelvic Clock for the Neck
Why am I moving my pelvis to help my neck?
Right now is not the time to be doing a lot of work with the neck specifically. We’ve already established that your nervous system is really sensitive right now and your neck is it’s primary concern. We also know that it’s been awhile since you could move your neck comfortably. So big stretches for the neck will only make it more sensitive at this stage.
So let’s find ways to mobilize without actually moving the neck. As you will see, this is possible just by moving the pelvis! You will be training your nervous system to not be afraid of movement in the neck. You are teaching your brain maps new functional movement patterns in a fun and novel way.
