Pelvic Clock
This is a go to practice for so many things. Though many of us don’t associate our pelvis with our neck or even with the rest of the spine, it is an important part of our overall function on experience of being embodied. Try to release as much tension from the shoulders and neck as possible when you do your somatic lessons this week. You will find that your head is nodding and turning, that your neck is sidebending and rotating. These movements are often very sensitive for those of us who suffer from neck pain. So don’t contrive them now, rather, let them happen as a natural result of moving the pelvis. I predict that you will have much less tension in your neck by the end of this week!
