Somatic Lesson: Improving Flexion
Neck flexion may be challenging (At first)
You’ve already learned that the muscles that help you to flex your neck are probably a bit de-conditioned and un-educated. This isn’t because you did any thing wrong, it’s just a pattern we see with neck pain. So flexing your neck in this lesson may feel difficult. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it! These lessons are designed so that you can view the demonstration then pause and try it out as many times as you like. Maybe at first you don’t do many repititions? Maybe you just make tiny movements?
After you’ve done the lesson for a couple of days you may not even need to start the recording. Just lay down and practice some of your favorite movements.
